Young, Joyce Eileen

Joyce Eileen Young of Bloomsdale died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Crystal Oaks Skilled Nursing Facility in Crystal City. She was 89 years old.

Funeral services are Saturday, February 6th 11am with visitation from 9 am until service time at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St Louis.

Burial will take place in the Warrenton City Cemetery.

Kutis South County Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

 

She was born June 25, 1926 in New York, a daughter of Harrison and Nina Ball.

She was married to Gilbert S. “Pete” Young and he survives.

 

She is also survived by a son Robert “Joe” Young and wife Margaret of Festus, a daughter Kathleen Pope and husband Donnie of Desoto, MO, 5 grandchildren, Patrick, Angie, Christina, Jennifer and Rob; 10 great-grandchildren Dustin, Mathew, Alyssa, Chelsea, Alexis, Madalyn, Katie, Eli, Chloe and Lennon.

 

She was a homemaker and was a Cub Scout den mother, played piano at the Methodist Church in Hillsboro where she was also the bible school activities director.
