Wright, Harold “Wayne”

Wright, Harold “Wayne” passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020 in Patterson, Mo. at the home of his niece, Lisa Sellers. He was born on January 3, 1926 in Chloride, Mo. to Herbert “Jocko” Shannon Wright  and Cora Adell (Markham) Bryant.

Wayne served in the Navy in World War II and was always so very proud of his military service. He worked for General Groceries for many years and had retired from there about 30 years ago at which time he moved from St. Louis to Wappapello, Mo. He was a member of the VFW and Eagles in Wappapello, Mo.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Bill Wright, his sister, Dorothy Smith, his wife, Maud Martha (Hogg) Wright, two sons, Stan Wright and Greg Wright, and one step daughter, Kathy Honea.

Wayne is survived by two daughter-in-laws, Kathy Wright and June Wright, one step daughter, Linda (Dennis) King, two grandsons, Bob (Carol) Wright and John Wright, one grand daughter, April Wright, one great grand daughter, Madison Miller, three step grand daughters, Kim Haley, Annie Vitale, Nicole Licklyder, one step grandson, Bryan Benson, one step great grand daughter, Kiziah Licklyder, and two step great grand grandsons, Matthew Haley and Nicholas Vitale. He is also survived by his best friend, Paul (Joanie) Jones who were friends for more than 70 years, and three great nieces, Tiffany Walker, Tarren Sellers and Tasha Allen.

Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Monday November 2, 11:00 am until service at 1:00 pm. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
