  5. Tom was a very special person who will be missed by so many. No matter how long or how little time you knew him, he made an impression on you that you never forget. I had the advantage of not only working with him but also driving sweet little David to school until the family moved off of Arnold Tenbrook. My condolences to all the family and prayers for strength as you go on with your lives without him. I’ll always remember his smiling face.

  33. Tom was a dear friend in high school. He was always a courteous gentleman, calling the girls Miss _____. He was a rare all around gentle, kind soul who never wavered even when bullied. We bumped into each other from time to time, as adults, and very briefly caught up on our family lives and what we were proud of. It was always an honor to be in his presence. I know he will be missed by family and friends.

  37. Tommy,

Grief, I’ve learned is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes..as tears, the lump in your throat, and in the hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go. No one wanted you to go. I’m pretty sure Heaven has been waiting for you.

I’m not sure where to start. I have obviously known you all my life. I am very sorry I was unable to make it for your family celebration of your life. I have always thought you were so cool and laid-back. You always gave good advice when it was needed. You always opened your arms and was not afraid to give a big hug. Your smile was infectious. You may be my mom’s first cousin. Growing up figuring out the whole first cousin second cousin mumbo jumbo was not important to me.

What was the important is the memories I have anytime our family what’s around with you. I remember from a very young age going over to Grandma Gigi’s house and you used to live right behind her. Again always a big smile and full of positivity. When I heard the news I really was shocked.

I know you are a religious man, and God bless you! Sometimes I don’t understand why the Lord above takes such good people away so young.

I will never forget the many times you try to teach me to dance. Unfortunately I’m pretty sure I have two left feet. Every wedding we attended together I certainly wanted that opportunity. You are so light on your feet, it’s like you floated on a cloud. I guess that is how I am remembering amongst many other things.

So I hope you are dancing in heaven! You know my personal conversations how much I missed Mike Grandpa bud.
That was another phone call conversation that we talked about for at least 40 minutes. I grieved over losing Grandpa for a long time. So I certainly hope you both are having good conversations dancing down those golden streets through those Pearly Gates.

I wish peace for all of out family and your friends loved you, to remember and keep happy memories to help them heal
    Losing such an incredible person.

    Godspeed,
    Alan and Earlene Gentles’ daughter,

Amanda, Dan, Abbigale, Charlotte, and, William Moroney.

  41. My condolences to his family. I went to Kenrick Seminary with Tiny as we fondly called him. He was a gentle soul and always had an encouraging word. He befriended me at a low point in my life. So many fond memories of a great souled man. Had supper with him and another classmate from Kenrick about 5 years ago. Was glad to see that he hadn’t changed. He spoke lovingly of his wife and two sons. Will offer Mass for his soul. May he rest in peace.
