I met Richard during my many visits to see my brother Steve Gilreath before he passed in the hospital. I found Richard to be a kind man and to be very caring and truly concerned for Steve. Rich may you and Steve gather and set up your bonfire and be at peace and no pain. You will be truly missed by all! Soar high with the Angels!

Knowing Richie all these years along with Don Kieth Kenny their parents and the rest of the family has been A remarkable time in my life as well as my families and all of us kids that had grown up with Richie and the Thurman family. Richie is going to be so missed by the multiple friends and people that he has touched with his smile and great sense of humor. There aren’t enough words to describe over fun times behind skate land and long school, the claim mines behind venture riding our bikes and motorcycles. One of the greatest most unselfish person that has ever graced our earth. God has him in his loving arms and I’m sure he’s storing many smiles up there in heaven. Richie has been blessed with the ability to make people around him for you good about themselves. They say time heals however this will take a very long time to understand he’s not here with us. Rest in peace my dear friend and brother at heart. May the angels always surround you with the same laughter you had brought to so many of us here.
