Passed away Monday, January 2, 2017. Beloved husband of Elaine Taylor (nee Hampton); loving father of Janet (Randy) Maxey, Brian (Bo) Taylor and the late Mark Taylor; dear grandfather of 7; dear brother of Troyana Kehoe and Robert Taylor; dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Gentry was the owner of Gentry’s Barber Shop. Every day he walked two miles to and from the shop for the 50 years he owned the place. He had a passion for collecting and trading  Lionel trains.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, Wednesday, January 4, 4:00 p.m. until the funeral services at 7:30 p.m. Private interment at a later date. []
