Passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 19, 2020.

Beloved husband of Carol A. Starek (nee Campel); beloved son of Dorothy and the late Robert Starek; loving father of Jennifer (Eric) Danker, Scott (Katie) Starek, Alyssa (Brandon) Evensen, Stephen (Deann) Appelbaum, and Gregory (Becky) Appelbaum; dearest papa to Ally, Ethan, Andrew, Lili, Max, Emma, Vinny, and Quentin; dear brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend to many, including his four legged friends Lola and Winnie.

SERVICES: Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd., Thursday, September 24, 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a funeral service at 6:30 PM. Private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the APA.

  29. Carol, I was so saddened to hear of Steve’s passing. Steve was such an upstanding, gentleman, with an amazing gift of knowledge and humor. I was fortunate enough to get to work together with him on many projects and not only learned from him, but had fun doing them. I will always cherish his friendship, and he will be missed.
