  3. This saddens my heart, I worked with John at St. Louis Co as a Mechanical inspector. Several mechanical inspectors and I were new to code enforcement, John really went out of his way to help train and educate us in code enforcement. He was an awesome mentor and person. He will be missed…

  9. Saddened by the news of Johns passing. I remember when John first came to work at STLC and he was a in training. Great guy to work with. I had many conversations both about the job and life. He was sooo proud of his family and spoke lovingly of Karen. We have all lost a great friend and confidant. So long pal, till we meet again.

  11. John was a true professional working tirelessly to find a code compliant solutions that would meet the customer’s needs. He was always there for me and his co-workers willing to pitch in and help. I am heart broken that he only enjoyed 7 months of retirement with his family. My heart goes out to Karen, children, grand children and the family pets.

  31. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of John in their time of sorrow.
John was not only great guy to work with but a great friend as well.
Getting to work closely with John the last 10 years will be something that I will cherish always. Between the discussions of work, dogs, boy scouts, cooking, Christmas decorating and everything in between he not only made the workplace a fun place to be but the world as well was better off because he was in it.
John will be missed but never forgotten by all the lives that he touched.

  33. I am saddened to hear this news of my uncle. He was my mom’s brother. I has lost touch with him over the years but I never lost the memories we had when I was growing up. I would visit every summer to see him and my grandmother in St. Louis. He really was all that was left from my mother’s side of the family. I am thankful he met my kids a few years ago. I will miss him greatly. He was such a wonderful person and yes had the most infectious smile ever! I love you Uncle John – tell my momma I said hi. Sending my condolences and hugs to his family.
