Shrum

In Loving Memory

Shrum, Michael C.

Michael passed away on Monday July 19, 2021 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of LaDonna Shrum (nee Darr), loving father of Lindsay (Corey Carriker), Derek (Jessie), Dylan and Lauren Shrum, adoring grandfather of CJ, Charlee, Camdyn, and Chloe. Grand dogs Hank, Maya, Bentley and late Baxter and Bella. Cherished son of Merle Shrum (nee Spellmeyer) and the late Donald Shrum, dear son-in-law of Donald Darr and Wanda Darr (nee Britt), sister-in-law Deanna Darr. Michael truly loved the car business and touching so many lives along the way. Michael adored coaching his sons and daughters in sports, as well as watching his grandkids play baseball and soccer. His passion was hunting down at the family farm and fishing whenever LaDonna let him out of the house. It was a true joy for him to watch our beloved St. Louis Blues hoist lord Stanley. He was also able to see the Cardinals take home three world
championships and loved taking his family to Busch stadium, the Arena and the Dome.

Funeral at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Saturday, July 24 at 9:00 am. Interment at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to American Heart Association appreciated. Visitation Friday 4-9 pm.

  17. Danielle and I were shocked and saddened to learn of Mike’s unexpected passing. He will be missed. I particularly enjoyed visiting with Mike at family functions. We had some great chats about St. Louis sports and much more. It was abundantly clear that Mike adored his family. I hold each one of you up in my prayers. I pray that the Holy Spirit rests upon you and comforts you. Remember Psalm 34:18. “The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.” Rely heavily on your faith and on the love of family and friends during this difficult time.
    Love,
    Matt and Danielle
