Scheitlin, Richard “Rick” Arthur

Scheitlin, Richard “Rick” Arthur, 72, passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.  Rick was the beloved husband of Nancy (Windisch) Scheitlin for 50 years; loving father of daughter Andria (Scheitlin) Cook (John); sons Eric Scheitlin (Angie), Brian Scheitlin (Toni) and Nicholas Scheitlin (Julie); has nine grandchildren Allison Cook, Jenna Cook, Alexis Cook, Payton Scheitlin, Mason Scheitlin, Hunter Scheitlin, Makenna Scheitlin, Asher Scheitlin and Graham Scheitlin; brother of William Scheitlin, Linda (Scheitlin) Jenkins (Frank), Kimberly (Scheitlin) Markham (John), step-brother of Jack Ewing (Joan) and Jill Ewing; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Rick attended the University of Missouri-St. Louis, graduating in 1973 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration-Accounting.  He worked for the IRS, received his certified public accounting accreditation and licensure and then worked for several CPA firms before starting his own CPA firm in 1983.  His business prospered and grew into a family-owned business.  Scheitlin & Company, LLC, Certified Public Accountants, is now Rick’s continuing legacy.  Through the years, Rick loved and cherished time spent together with his wife and enjoyed being involved with his four children and nine grandchildren’s many activities.  In addition, he enjoyed gardening, reading, listening to music and dancing with his wife.

Services:  Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road in St. Louis, MO 63129.  Friday, April 9, 2021 – Visitation at 4:30 PM and Memorial Service at 5:30 PM.
