In Loving Memory

Saake, Mark Joseph

Saake, Mark Joseph age 62, passed away on Wed. Dec. 29, 2021. Beloved husband of Jennifer L. Saake (nee O’Neal) for over 30 years; Dearest father of Andrew Joseph Saake, Benjamin Douglas Saake & Madeline Marie Saake (fiancé Owen Van de Riet); dear brother of Linda (Win) Chesney, Lisa Saake, Fran Thomas, Karl (Jill) Saake, & the late Erich (Linda surviving) Saake; dear brother-in-law of Cheryl Paulson & Ginger King; our dear nephew, uncle, cousin & friend.

Mark was a loyal family man, dedicated father and cat grandpa. An avid outdoorsman, he was at his happiest when he was on his boat fishing. A chemical engineer by trade, Mark was an innovative thinker and a creative problem solver. He had a passion for music, mostly Jazz and the occasional Lady Gaga. He was always generous, willing to help and could fix anything. A fierce guardian, he fought to protect his family. Mark enjoyed playing golf, watching hockey, football and Ancient Aliens on the History Channel. A mentor to his brother, children and nephews. He treated his nephews and nieces as his own. He is dearly loved and we will miss him terribly.  We will hold him in our hearts forever.

SERVICES: Memorial visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry on Wed., Jan. 5 from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to N.A.M. I. (National Alliance on Mental Illness) appreciated.
