Ryterski, Michael

of St. Louis, MO, departed his life at the St. Louis Altenheim on Sunday, May 29, 2016. He attained the age of 96 years.

Mr. Ryterski was born on April 9, 1920 in Perry County, IL, son of Walter and Lizzie (nee Suchomski) Ryterski. He was united in marriage to Barbara Smugala in St. Louis, MO and she preceded him in death on December 4, 1999.

Mike served in the United States Army and was a member of The Quentin Roosevelt American Legion Post #1 in St. Louis. Mike retired in 1990 as Vice President of Manufacturing and continued working at Schaeffer Manufacturing Company  as a consultant until he retired again in 2015 after working 75 years.

Mike is survived by 2 daughters, Bernadine (Paul) Sodko and Gerianne (Ed) Burke; 5 grandchildrlen, Lisa Scully, Sarah Inman, Chris Burke, Emilie Sanfillipo and Amanda Burke; 2 great-grandchildren, Sophia Inman and Lila Inman; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara, 3 brothers, Edward, Bernard and Raymond.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Monday, June 6, 3-9 p.m. Funeral at Kutis Affton Chapel, Tuesday, June 7, 9:30 a.m. to St. Mark Catholic Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorials to MO-FEAT, 15455 Manchester Rd., #3685, Ballwin, MO 63022.
