Roehl-crop

In Loving Memory

Roehl, Janet C.

Roehl, Janet C. (nee Diss) was called home to be with her lord and savior on Monday, March 23, 2020. Beloved wife of James H. Roehl; loving mother of Cora Jewell Roehl; cherished daughter of Mona and the late Kenneth Diss; beloved sister of Elizabeth Deweese and Stephen (Mary Catherine) Diss; treasured aunt of Nicholas, Jenna, Stefan, Allessandro and Anderson; great-aunt of Nicholas and Harper; dear sister-in-law of Kim (Cris) Delli-Zotti and Kelly Roehl and friend to many.

Janet was a faithful member of Living Water Pentecostal Church of God and she loved and prayed for everyone on a daily basis, but her greatest love was for her heavenly father. Janet’s smile will shine in heaven and in the hearts of all those whose lives she has touched along the way.

A celebration of Janet’s life will held at a later date.

  19. I will always remember when i would sit in the floor and play barbies with Janet and Amy. We were always playing somethimg together in the floor, anything to have some fun. Janet never had to have a reason to give you a smile and what a beautiful smile she has, she always lit up the room when she walked in. Cora reminds me of Janet, very smart and a smile from ear to ear. God bless you Jim and Cora, i love you both very much.

  21. My deepest condolences to the family. Janet was a wonderful, amazing and loving person to all. She was a friend, neighbor and family to me and my family and we will always remember her beautiful smile and her caring nature. She was one of the first neighbors that I met when I moved my family to St Louis. She was a breath of fresh air during a very difficult time for me. She helped so many people and she opened her home when her family needed her. She would give you the shirt off her back. You just don’t come across people like her every day. She was a treasure and she will be sorely missed. “Janet you are with our Lord and Savior now. There is no safer place. No more pain. No more suffering. You will live on in our hearts and in the hearts of your beautiful little girl, your adoring husband and your loving family. Rest In Peace”

  31. You were Cora’s age when I met you, being adored by your mother Mona. My heartfelt condolences to the family. She fought for so many months but is at peace now. It is always sad when such a young person passes, but especially for those with young children. I send blessings to the family for the struggle that remains

  33. Mona, Jim, Cora and your family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your sweet Janet, I shared the news with my brother Gary and our mother ‘Aunt Mary’; our thoughts and prayers we send to you and your family. Janet is a very special-kind and gentle soul, a very beautiful person, she will be thought of often by all who knew her. Our Aunt Ella Mae once told me that when a loved one passes away, they are not gone, they are just resting with God until we all join them – what a day of rejoicing that will be. Love you, your cousin, Ruthie nee Aubuchon.

Jim, it’s so hard to put into words how great of a woman Janet was, every time I would see her she wanted to know “how’s the family?” “If there is anything I can do, please let me know!” “Is Jim behaving himself?”.(Jim and I worked together for 8 years) She was funny, caring and just all around a good person, so glad I was fortunate enough to have known her. Rest in peace my friend!

If they knew you Janet, they knew you were a Godly woman who loved her Lord and Savoir with all her heart, they would know when you saw someone in dispair that you would stop and pray with them or for them, They would know that you didn’t need the sun to shine to make your space the warmest space on earth, If they knew you they would say how lucky are you Mona to have such a child as her and I would respond it wasn’t luck she was a blessing straight from God.. when she was 18 months old I was her only true love and she would follow me around the house with a chair she could climb on just to have a dance with her mommy. If they knew you as a teenager they would know that you were heartbroken at 16 and asking why you didn’t have a soulmate here on this earth and I laughed at you and said It’s not over yet and God has plans for you Janet just be patient. And then Jim walks into her store one beautiful day and changed her world forever, Janet my darling precious daughter I used to fear death but not anymore because I will see you again and I will hold you again and tell you I knew all along that everything would be OK. I love you with everything I am and everything I ever hope to be God bless and keep you my precious precious girl.

  43. For anyone one who knew Jim and Janet knew they Loved each other and their Beautiful daughter Cora. We all have prayed for months for Janet’s recovery but God had a different plan. We know you are no longer in pain and anxiety free. Last year I asked my niece Amy to have Thanksgiving for the Family with the remark to her that one of these years one of us may not be around any longer. I was referring to us older ones and Life has showed us that everyday is precious for the young and old. So glad we had that day together and know from now on there will always be a plate set for Janet as you are with all of us forever.
