Rich, John A.

84 years old, after a long illness, John has joined his mom and dad on September 21, 2022.

Born at home on Pestalozzi Street in south St. Louis in 1938, to John and Clara Rich. He attended St. Cecilia Catholic school and the story is that on the first day of kindergarten John climbed out a window at school and walked himself back home.

John is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce; his sister Katherine Rapp and his two children, Miles (Elaine) and Rene’ (Dan) LeMay. Grandchildren, Jessica (Joe Duckworth), Bryan (Paulina); Kenzie and Lee LeMay; a great-grandson Jace Duckworth and five nieces and nephews, Debra (Sull), Steve, Gerard, Ken and Connie (Cooper).

SERVICES:  Visitation At Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Road on Wednesday October 5, 11:00 a.m. until funeral service at 12:00 noon.  Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers please send donations to either the non-profit St Louis Help’s at stlhelp.org, the Alzheimer’s Association or the Parkinson’s  foundation.

A special “Thank You” to the Accent Care (Seasons) Hospice staff. Especially Birgit and Emily. It was a long road, the family appreciates your support and caring for our loved one.
