Pruitt, Walter Lee “Walt”, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Thur., Aug 2, 2018, surrounded by his wife Laura and 4 children.
Walter was the owner/manager of World Finance Company on Big Bend Blvd. for over 50 years and was a proud Korean War Veteran. He loved quail and pheasant hunting with annual trips to Mitchell, SD. His favorite pastimes included watching his dogs hunt and feeding fish at the ponds on the family farm. He was married to Esther Pruitt for 19 years before her death in 1975. He was married to Laura Pruitt (nee Wisdom) for over 32 years and she survives. Walter is also survived by his children, LeeAnn Pruitt, Wallis Kay Summers, John (Nan) Pruitt, David (Tracy) Stam, his English setters Sue and Sugar, in addition to 6 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cousins who were like siblings.
Service: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Tue., Aug. 7, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service 11:00 a.m. Interment K of P Cemetery, Arcadia, MO at 3 p.m. Memorials to the American Heart Assoc.
