(nee Welling) Baptized into the Hope of Christ’s Resurrection on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Beloved wife of the late David F. Mudd; dear mother of Larry (Cynthia) Mudd, Jean Mudd-Six and Patti (Andy Carson) Mudd; dear grandmother of Lydia, Jacob, Johnnie, Joey, David and Daniel; dear daughter of the late Erwin and Violet Welling; dear sister of the late Erv Welling. Our dear sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend of many.

Services: Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, on Saturday, January 22, 10:30 a.m. to St. John Paul II School Campus, 7748 Mackenzie Rd., for 11 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Shirley was a longtime employee of Southwestern Bell and was very active in parish life for many years. She was an avid bowler, card player and member of the Red Hat Ladies, a generous soul with exuberance for life. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Haiti Education Alliance at theahaiti.org. Visitation Friday, 5-8 p.m. with Rosary at 8 p.m.
