In Loving Memory

McCay, Shane Michael

We are heartbroken to announce the death of our beloved Shane Michael McCay.

Shane died suddenly at his parent’s home in Barnhart on November 25, 2022 after spending a wonderful Thanksgiving with his family.

Shane was 31 years old and currently residing in Nashville, TN where he was an IT Specialist for Pillsbury Law.  He is survived by his parents, David and Kristine Fears of Barnhart, MO, his twin brother Samuel McCay of Creve Coeur, MO and his younger brother Connor Fears of Barnhart, affectionately referred to as “The Boy” by Shane.  He is also survived by his grandmother Judith Fears of Festus and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Judith McCay of Ballwin, MO.

Shane loved spending time with his family and friends.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed pinball, heavy metal music and PC gaming.  He moved to Nashville in February of this year and was having fun exploring his new city.

Services: Visitation is Saturday, December 10th from 9am-11am at Kutis Funeral Home South County 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd.  The funeral service will immediately follow at Kutis, officiated by Pastor Brad East of First Baptist Church Arnold.  Burial is at Shepherd of the Hills Cemetery in Barnhart.

Memorials may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
