  7. I was lucky enough to have a life-long friend in Tom. In the early 1950s, we were neighbors and actually shared a backyard. We quickly become friends at a very young age. Who knew it was the beginning of a 70-year friendship.

What a great friendship we had. I will miss Tom for the rest of my life!

  9. My condolences to the Heitzer family. I like Dennis Sommer was a neighbor, living next door.
Tom and I were born a month apart and our families were close throughout the years.
Years later we found out that he was on the Frisco run through Dixon MO where I reside. My best friend here lived next to the tracks at one of the crossings and if a train was parked on side track would invite the guys on the train for coffee on her porch. I wish we would have known ahead so i could have joined them!!!
Tom was instrumental.in keeping all of SAS class in touch with each other. Im glad i got to talk to him before Easter and his birthday, we had a good phone visit reminiscing about our younger years! May he rest in peace!
Love and prayers for his family!

  11. So sorry to hear about Tommy . He was such a funny, delightful person. Lots of memories from grade school at St Martin of Tours. He was an anchor that kept us all informed about our grade school classmates. Just found out about his passing this evening from Mary (Schumacher) Burns. May God bless and comfort his family. Much love to all his family and friends.
