In Loving Memory

Guthrie, Marilyn S. (nee Happel)

Passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020. Beloved wife of the late James Anthony (Tony) Guthrie. Loving mother to Jim (Debbie), Jack (Theresa), Mike (Candie) Guthrie, and Jana (Ed) Seutter. Adoring grandmother to Elizabeth, Tony, Adrienne, Theresa, Leah, Michelle, Rachel, Katy, Jacci, Mark, Daniel, Lianne, Michael, Maddie, Amelia, and Nathan and great grandmother to Justin, Lydia, Makenna, Emily, Austin, Avi, and Abbey. Preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Virginia Happel. Dear aunt to Jody Happel and friend to many.

Mrs. Guthrie was a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Ladies Sodality and the St. Anthony’s Quilters group.  She was also a volunteer for several other community activities and enjoyed working in the wardrobe department at Six Flags for several years.

SERVICES:  Visitation at St. Anthony of Padua (High Ridge, MO) on Wednesday, July 15, 9:00 a.m. until funeral mass at 10:00 a.m.  Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  Contributions to High Ridge Food Pantry or St. Vincent DePaul Society appreciated.
