Denis C. Duker, . (Duke) born on September 26, 1944, peacefully passed on July 24, 2022. Beloved husband of Mary E. (Russell), brother of Douglas (Mary Beth) Duker and Dorinda Lee, and father to N. Greg Beachem (Suzie). Denis attended college at Miami of Ohio (1966) and Valparaiso University Law School (1969). He served in the US Army from 1969-1971, including a tour in Vietnam. Denis played basketball, football and baseball in high school and loved sports. Denis was a labor attorney and traveled extensively and achieved the distinction of visiting all 50 states. Denis was a member of the 2013 St. Louis basketball team that set a Guinness World Record for longest continuous basketball game and raised over $100,000 for Joplin to help rebuild after the tornado. Denis also went on Mission trips, volunteered at animal shelters and delivered meals to the elderly. Duke was a wonderful person, husband, brother and dad and he will be missed.
