In Loving Memory

Diaz, Maria E.

Passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019. Born and raised in Bogo, Philippines, she met Leopoldo, the love of her life. They forged a loving life together raising nine beautiful children. Maria was a wife, a sister, a grandmother, an aunt, and a friend. Her most proud achievement was being a loving mother to nine beautiful children. They were her passion!  She was most proud when her children were in her company sharing special moments.

Maria loved to cook and was well known for her delicious homemade lumpia.  Rumor has it, though many have tried, her lumpia recipe can never be duplicated.  She loved to dance and go for walks. Maria had a quick wit and great sense of humor and could make you smile when she smiled.  When she entered a room you could feel her warmth. This radiating warmth came natural to her and was probably fueled by the fact that she was so very spiritually gifted.   Maria prayed the Rosary every day; sometimes two or three times a day.

Services: Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd., Saturday, March 9, from 12:00 PM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Maria’s cremains will be taken to the Philippines for interment.
