Donald-Bryant

In Loving Memory

Bryant, Donald Norman

Bryant, Donald Norman, 81, peacefully went home to heaven on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He was born September 26, 1940 in Lesterville, MO to Norman Bryant and Virginia Hayman. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Patricia Bryant, his son Ethan and wife Francie, his daughter Erinn and husband Paul, his son Evan, and six grandchildren, Emmie, Lizie, Alivia, Avril, Garet, and Anderson. Don was preceded in death by his brother David and his sister Judy, and his oldest daughter Erika.

In 1962, he enlisted in the United States Coastguard and served for 4 years. He often told stories of his Coastguard days at Wake Island. In 1977, Don graduated from the University of Missouri in St. Louis where he earned a degree in Chemistry, spent his career as a lab technician, and retired from Elementis following a debilitating stroke in 1999. Don especially will be remembered for his love of all things culinary-related from bread baking, biscotti making to Chinese cooking. Don had a talent for a variety of crafts through the years that he shared with others he met, and his constant presence in his home will be dearly missed by his wife and his new puppy.

Services: Visitation will be Tuesday, May 24th, from 10am to 12pm at Kutis Funeral Home on Lemay Ferry with a Celebration of Life service at  12 noon. Burial will be immediately following the service at Sunset Cemetery in Affton. Those wishing to honor Donald Bryant can make a donation to a charity of their choice or to the Salvation Army.

  1. I am so sorry to hear of Don’s passing. He was such a giving, gifted and amazing person. I have such fond memories of his cooking dinner with me for the United Methodist Men and all the special events (his bread and Chinese food – oh yum!). Plus helping with Vacation Bible School crafts – making paper for one. My love and prayers to you all.
