Becker, Elizabeth “Betty”

Becker, Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Kassen) of Arnold, MO, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, was welcomed into eternity on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the age of 84.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard “Sonny” Becker, her brother, Richard “Dick” Kassen, and her parents, George and Estelle Kassen.

She was an active member of St. Joseph Parish, Imperial, MO for 63 years.

Her life’s work included: Woman of Faith, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Friend  and Neighbor. She supported her husband in life and also in business by managing the Becker Brothers Water Hauling and Standard Oil businesses. She also supported her Parish by working tirelessly serving as Co-Chair of the capital campaign for the current school and Church, being a “Heavenly Duster” and hosting Bible Studies in her home for over 20 years.

Betty is survived by her children Linda (Michael) Drinen, Brenda (Jim) Stevens, Cindy (Earl) Wall, Nancy Becker, Bob (Linda) Becker, 12  grandchildren, 10 great-grand- children and 3 siblings, Geraldine Herrell, Robert “Bob” Kassen and Raymond (Alicia) Kassen.  She is also survived by numerous friends whose love and support she valued immensely, particularly in her later years.

Services: Visitation will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6020 Old Antonia Road, Imperial, MO on Sunday, November  6, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM Interment will immediately follow at Shepherd Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society. A Kutis South County Service.
