Connie-Petty

In Loving Memory

Petty, Rachel C. “Connie”

Rachel C. Petty (nee Smith), known by friends and loved ones as Connie, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021.  She was born on December 9, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Connie is survived by her husband James L. Petty; son James B. (Beverly) Petty; grandchildren Christopher Petty, Brandon Petty (Jessie Moser) and Brianna Petty; great grandchild Jasper Petty; brother Joseph (Barbara) Smith; uncle Kenneth (Beatrice) Smith and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Connie adored spending time with all her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She always made sure she got to spend time and create memories with each one.  One of her favorite things to do was visiting with family and friends, and she always had her camera with her to capture a snapshot.  Connie also enjoyed the company and love of her dogs (puppies), even after they raided the kitchen when no one was looking.  Connie was a licensed realtor and spent many years working with RE/MAX Results.  She was an active member of Tower Grove Baptist Church, her community and enjoyed playing piano.  Connie was an extraordinary person, and when she met someone new, she made them feel welcomed.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Per Connie’s request, she will be cremated.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at:
