Williams, Mildred Belle “Micki” (nee Fletcher)

 

Passed away peacefully at the age of 101 on Tuesday November 22, 2022.

Mildred, eldest daughter of the late Harold S. Fletcher and Evangeline Belle Fletcher (nee Jannopoulo), was born in Kirkwood, MO on July 1, 1921.

She was preceded in death by seven of her eight siblings, as well as her beloved husband Lafe J. Williams.

She is survived by her three daughters, Mildred Jeanne Johnson, Geraldine Johnson and Patricia J. McAllister, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mildred held a variety of jobs during her lifetime from bank teller to school bus driver, including working in the   fuselage of airplanes as a “Rosey Riveter” during WWII. Her small size made her perfect for the job, Later in life, she really enjoyed the Muny Opera in Forest Park and the Fox Theatre. She served both companies for many years and loved it.

She will ne dearly missed by her entire family of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel 10151 Gravois, Monday November 28, 10:00 AM. Interment JB National Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 4”00-7:00 PM
