August 23,1928 – January 25, 2023  Betty Jean Waser (nee Smith) of St. Louis, Missouri passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the age of 94. Cherished wife of 64 years to the late Clarence J. Waser; dear daughter of the late Clyde and Florence (nee Anderson) Smith; sister of Ruth, Florence, the late Norma, Myrtle, Leatha and brother Peter; beloved mother of Daniel (Kathy) Waser, Diane (Dan) Leigh and Ronald (Sierra) Waser; loving grandmother of Jacob (Rachel) Waser, Jessica (Chris) Rutledge, Amy (Ben) Menke, Todd (Abigail) Waser, Greg Leigh, Amanda (Tim) Collico, Victoria (Brandon) Sirles, Stephanie (Cole) Becker and Elizabeth Waser; loving great-grandmother of Joaquin and Camilla Waser; Payton, Austin and Lucas Rutledge; Harper, Max and Emma Menke; Carson, Clare and Connor Collico; Lacy Sirles.

Growing up on the family farm in Kansas, Betty was involved with 4H where her pig won first place in the county fair.  Upon completing nursing school in Topeka, she moved to St. Louis where she met Clarence. Betty was a Girl Scout Leader for many years and was a long time active member at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church. She loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking and reading. Mom, grandma, great-grandma, dear friend will be greatly missed.
