Walter Scott Walton, 74, of Concord Village, MO (formerly of Crystal City) passed away at Barnes-Jewish Hospital on March 5, 2016. Walt was a retired Farmer’s Insurance Agent where he worked for over 40 years. Prior to that, he was a science teacher (5 years) at Hazelwood Central High School. Walt was a graduate of Central Methodist College (MO) and a member of the Kirkwood United Methodist Church.

 

Born in 1941, he was the son of the late Harold and Merle Walton. Walt is survived by his wife Suzanne (nee Rajnoha); three sons: Geoff of St. Charles, Tim (Lindsey) of Louisburg, KS; Andrew (Greta) of Maryland Heights; one daughter, Katie (Alex) DeVries of Battlefield, MO; seven grandchildren:  (Max Walton, Annmarie and Preston Walton, Cate and Harrison Walton, and Evelyn and Elizabeth DeVries); three brothers: Tom (Claudia) Walton of Denver, CO; William (Mary) Walton of Yakima, WA; and Harold (Carolyn) Walton of Crystal City, and mother-in-law Sylvia Rajnoha.

Visitation at Kutis Funeral Home (Affton) Tuesday, March 8, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., then taken to Kirkwood United Methodist Church on Wednesday, March 9, for visitation at 10:00 a.m. until funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Interment Sunset Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the Mid-America Transplant Services or the Kirkwood United Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank the transplant team and ICU staff of Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
