Vierling

In Loving Memory

Vierling, Mary Patricia (nee Jackson)

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on November 29, 2022, passed peacefully into God’s hands at the age of 87 surrounded by her loving family. Born May 1, 1935 to Arthur L. Sr. and Marie L. Jackson. Beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Vierling Sr.; loving and devoted mother of Anthony Jr. (Carole), Stephen Sr. (Sally) and Daniel (Sue); treasured grandmother of Catherine (Larry), Anne (Jordan), Matthew, Stephanie, Mark, Margaret and Stephen Jr.; loving great-grandmother of Laurence, Emmett, Louis and Jordan; cherished sister of the late Arthur Jackson Jr., Joyce Cullen, the late Alice Megenhardt-Dyer and Jean Rallo; our dear aunt, cousin and friend. Mary Pat was a lifelong St. Louisan and a graduate of Ursuline Academy Class of 1952. On June 21, 1958, she married her loving husband, Tony, at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church. They raised three sons with love, selflessness and devotion. Later, the family grew to seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who were showered with her love and attention. She was great fun to be around, loved to laugh, always smiling, had lots of wonderful friends and was the life of the party. A devout Catholic, she attended daily Mass while she was able and prayer was central in her life. “Jesus, I Trust in You” from the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Padre Pio’s “Pray, Hope, and Don’t Worry” were her two favorite short prayers. We will forever miss her smile, her laugh, her energy, her playfulness and her unwavering love. We give thanks to God for her life and the lessons she taught us. We love you. Services: Memorial Mass Friday, December 9, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. St. Gabriel the Archangel Church. Private burial. Contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
