Preceded in death by his parents Henry and Mary  Valenta; beloved husband of Jean (nee Arlt) Valenta and the late Marilyn (nee Pike) Valenta; loving father of Michael (Jean)  Valenta, Anthony (Laura) Valenta, Steven (Francie)  Valenta, Jeanne (Paul) Mertens and Julie (Edward, Jr.) Bertram; dearest grandfather of David, Andrew (Carrie), Joseph, Kevin (Elizabeth), Steven, Erin (Robert), Christine, Crystal,  Caleb, Nicholas, Joshua and Timothy (Aly); dear great-grandfather of  Matthew, Emily, William, Ariana, Violet, Layla, Jack and  Annabelle. Dear uncle, great-uncle and friend to many.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd., Monday, October 1st, 11:30 a.m. to St. Mathias Catholic Church for 12 p.m. Mass. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Visitation Sunday, 4-8 p.m.
