  1. Your Mom was a great neighbor for the last 40+ years, first to my dad and stepmom, and then to me for the last 26 years. The late night kitchen light, with the TV on, and her sitting at the table (sometimes smoking her cigarette) were signs that all was well when I let the dog out before retiring for the night. Occasionally, when I had to get on the road before dawn or catch an early flight, she would still be awake. I’m sure she was the last one on our block to go to sleep for the night! It already feels empty not having her next door. She was the last of the original neighbors who were here when I moved in next door.

My deepest condolences to the Stockmann family.
