Smallwood-1

In Loving Memory

Smallwood, Elsie “Mickey”

entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the age of 93.

Loving mother of Thomas (Fonda) Smallwood and Pamela (Donald) Sneed; cherished grandmother of Jason (Rachelle), Chris, Nicholas (Mandee), Jessica (Brian), Jeremy and Kevin; proud great-grandmother of Elijah, Kaydance, Zoe, Elliott, Ethan and Rivers; dear sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Elsie was a faithful follower of Christ and a longtime member of St. Lucas United Church of Christ.

She worked as a cashier at Schnucks, retiring from the United Food & Commercial Workers International Union in 1993. She found great joy in collecting bells and was a member of the Gateway Arch Bells chapter of the American Bell Association.

She enjoyed playing card games, roller skating (as a young woman), and most of all, being surrounded by family and friends. She loved watching game shows, figure skating, Shirley Temple and QVC.

She celebrated each new day as a gift from God. She radiated positivity and brought much joy into the world. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at St. Lucas Cemetery (11735 Denny Rd, St. Louis, MO 63126) on Thursday, May 20 at 11am. Kutis Funeral Home in Affton, MO is entrusted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. http://giftfunds.stjude.org/elsiesmallwood
