Schumann, Betty Ann

Schumann, Betty Ann, (nee Capies) 79, of St. Louis, passed away on Friday, June 2nd, 2017. Betty was born on January 3, 1938 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of Frank and Alice Capies. Betty was a homemaker married to the late Raymond Schumann for 24 years until their lives parted different ways. Betty went on to attend Forest Park College to become a Medical Secretary and started working at Incarnate Word Hospital then went to work for Dr. Jay Mahadevan and retired in 2007. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Alice. She is survived by her daughter Kelly M (Tom) Quante, her granddaughters Alexis Quante (Aaron) Cobb and Abiggail Quante, great-grandchild Bently Thomas Cobb and Baby Cobb on the way. Betty was the sister-in-law of Dennis (Maureen) Schumann, Jim (Donna) Schumann and the late Judy (Ed-survives) Hoerner and was our dear aunt, cousin and dear friend of many.

Betty’s Family wishes to extend the gratitude to Laclede Groves fro the support and care over the past 7 years.

Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Wednesday, June 7, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with a funeral service at 7:00 PM. Memorials are appreciated to the the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
