In Loving Memory

Schrantz, Patrick M.

Tuesday, October 13, 2020.  Dear son of JoAnn (Gary) Schrantz and the late Richard DeNeut.  Dear brother of Jack (Kamila) DeNeut, Jane (Bryan) Schrantz-Hins and Julie (Justin) Yarrington.  Our dear grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, co-worker and friend to many.

Patrick was a compliance officer at Wells Fargo for the last 15 years.  He was a lover of animals and volunteered many hours at the St. Louis County Humane Society.

We will miss your razor sharp wit and intelligence.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Humane Society of Missouri or Marines Toys for Tots appreciated.

A celebration of life at a later date where Patrick will be reunited with his father in LaPorte City, Iowa.

Condolences

  3. I will never ever forget you, Patrick. Even when you were on my last nerve, and making me mad, you still knew exactly how to make me laugh and you did time and time again. Your life here on earth was a tough one, but I know you are in heaven with your dad again, free of pain and sorrow. Watch over us and fly high. Keep and eye on Armando up there too!

    I love you,
    South City Sarah

  5. Patrick, it was good working with you the past few years. You truly did have a razor sharp wit and intelligence. Thank you for all the help at work. I enjoyed getting to know you through our many conversations and shared interests. Beneath that rough exterior you really were a good guy at heart. I wish I had taken the time to get to know you better. I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you when you needed me. Until we meet again on the other side, rest easy my friend and know that you will be missed. Semper Fi to your father, and may God comfort your family and loved ones in their loss.

  7. I knew Pat on the days of Osseo High School. He challenged every thought / idea that i held about my own future my challenging me to be aware of the world around me; something that most 18-19 year old kids had ZERO concern with in 1989-1990. He opened my eyes to my responsibility of being a voting American – and to soo many other rings as well. He was so wise beyond his years.. and sadly. It was due to his loss, something that we, as his peers, could opt fully understand at the time.

May God Bless his family’& loved ones with the peace that surpasses understanding. May Patrick be blessed with eternal life. 17 year old me knows that he was wise & intelligent beyond his years.. he knew that the afterlife was there for him..

Blessings to all that loved him!

  9. This makes me so sad. Can’t count how many hang out sessions we shared years ago filled with banter and laughter. Pat had such a good heart but man could he drive me nuts! . I say that knowing he’d call me out if I didn’t. His quick wit and smirk made everything better and funnier. Far too young. Prayers for his family and friends. Rest In Peace, Pat!

  11. Rest in peace Patrick. Like for many, news of your passing was a shock to me as you seemed so full of life. Sadness and regret set in immediately. Sadness for the loss of someone so young and with so much promise. Regret for not having taking the time to touch base with you more often. Seems 2020 has been a tragedy in so many ways. I hope you find the peace you sought so dearly. Working with you has been a pleasure and you will be sorely missed around the office. Rest in peace friend.

  13. Well, well, well Mr. Kirk-patrick… As I lay here relaxing taking a month off from my chosen path of existence I stumbled across this portfolio of yours Pat. Although I’ve not seen you nor many others from Osseo Jr, Sr, in many years it still is unsettling to find persons like yourself that have passed on, or perhaps waiting on Jesus with Billie Gibbons for that bus to get to Chicago??? IDK I’ll say this tho about you Pat,,, I remember you bringing New York seltzer water to class in Jr high. That was yummy stuffs!!! I hitched a ride home in your red MR2 after school one day because I missed the bus(hanging out with Gibbons). You were kicked out of ninth grade and catapulted into high school due to your ever evolving intelligences. That’s hyper cool dude!!! I saw you years ago our most recent time new years Eve Eve back around 2006’ish??? Always even in my struggles in my personal everything I always remembered you(will continue too), with kind kinds, positive vibes and high regards for you and who you STILL are Patrick. As I stay behind the scenes and move freely between life’s shadows know that from time to time I remember, embrace, smile and face those memories that even a turnstile could not, would not get in the way of. As I will once again burn up the asphalt on these highways once I get myself prepared again always know you are appreciated, respected and admired Pat. I prefer to not speak in past tense. Reason being it’s easier to remember the present by staying in the present. That’s my present to you. I could say so much more. Lastly, I truly admired your knack for being whom you are Pat. No apologies. No apathy. I admire that in myself as well. Time is never. Time is never gained. That’s why I stay in the now.
