Salomon

In Loving Memory

Salomon, Joan Arlene

It is with great sorrow that we report the passing of Joan Arlene
Salomon, beloved wife and mother. Born on May 20th, 1949 as Joan
Hladnick, and would become the oldest of 7 children.

The family would begin with Arthur and Flora and brothers John and Donald.

The family would continue to grow with Arthur and Virginia with children

Mark (Ruth) Karen (Pat) Steven (Sharon) Daniel (Leane)

On November 28th, 1970, she married Harry “Skip” Salomon, with
whom she shared over five decades of devoted marriage. Together
they raised two children, Christy (Bryan Miller) and Stephen.

She will always be remembered by all who knew her
first and foremost for her constant concern for the well-being and
happiness of others, never failing to put her friends and family before
herself. She always found small ways to make other people’s lives a
tiny bit better, whether it was simply asking about their families or
preparing home-cooked favorites to the delight of her many loved
ones.
On January 22nd, 2023, her battle with cancer ended that she had
fought for over a decade, leaving the world less joyful and less kind
with her absence.

Visitation will be held at Kutis Funeral Home at
10151 Gravois Road, Saint Louis, MO 63123, on January 29th from
4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at noon Monday,
January 30, with burial immediately afterwards at Saint Lucas UCC
cemetery at 11735 Denny Road, Saint Louis, MO 63126.

  1. Though it’s been many years since I’ve seen her, I always remember her as warm, kind and welcoming. And she was a true fighter, till the end.

  3. Aunt Joan was a beloved woman! She was able to bring joy to so many, and cared deeply for all those around her. She was one of the strongest women I have ever known and I thank God she was a part of our family!

May God grant us all strength and courage during this difficult time. I pray the many wonderful memories ease the pain of her passing and we can all find joy in the legacy or love she leaves behind!
