In Loving Memory

Robben, Maureen (nee Doherty)

Robben, Maureen (nee Doherty) 11/9/1943 – 09/28/2017.  Maureen passed away at her home at Osage Beach surrounded by her family on 9/28/17.  She was fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church on 9/27/17.  Maureen was the loving companion of Ed Murry (3/13/2015) and the former wife and friend of Dave Robben. Maureen was the daughter of the late John Doherty and Margaret Mary Doherty (Kavanaugh).  She was preceded in death by her brother, John Michael Doherty (Patti).  Maureen was the dear mother of Colleen Robben Thielke (Bill) and Jenn Robben Mill (Brett) and the devoted and loving  “Maw-Maw” to Emily, Nick and Max (Colleen) and Chloe and Ryland (Jenn). She is survived by a sister, Kathleen Kleffner  (Joe), and brother, Bill Doherty (Peggy), as well as many nieces, nephews and numerous best friends.

Maureen attended St. Elizabeth Academy in St. Louis and worked for the Norfolk Southern Railroad for 30 years.  She was a member of the Phi Tau Omega sorority, Delta Phi chapter, which she joined in 1965. Maureen’s presence at any occasion brought spontaneous energy, light, and love. Her caustic wit, ironic observations, and sarcastic humorous comments always filled the room with laughter, joy and love. Maureen’s loving heart extended beyond her immediate family and she included many people in her life as family. As Maureen took the first steps toward the “Great Reward”, family members gathered at her bedside holding hands praying, singing hymns and Irish songs. Maureen’s strong faith gave her peace to accept this passing.

Private interment will be at a later date in Osage Beach.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Our Lake of the Catholic Church in support of the Hope House, which offers  hope and help to those in need.  2411 Bagnell Dam Blvd. Lake Ozark, MO 65049
