Rizos, Demetrios “Jimmy”

 

 

Demetrios “Jimmy” Rizos of St Louis, Missouri fell asleep in the Lord August 5, 2022. Father to children Matthew Rizos and Margaret Noonan,he is survived by longtime girlfriend Diane Spirk, his brothers and sisters Barbara, Helen, Alexandra, Pangaiotis, and Gus. Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Elias and Vasiliki, and sister Anastaia. Jimmy was born in loannina Greece. He is fondly remembered for his talent as a drummer and his love of model trains and the comedy of the Three Stooges, which he enjoyed with his family. Jimmy was a devoted fan of Pittsburgh sports. He retired from driving a forklift for Major Brands after 31 years and loved the Greek cuisine cooking of his sisters.

Funeral Service will be held at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 1755 Des Peres Rd., Town & County, MO 63131 on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Interment immediately following at St. Matthew’s Cemetery, 4360 Bates St, St. Louis, MO 63116. KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY SERVICE.

  1. I was a long time friend of Jimmy back when our kids were in gradeschool. He use to buy Avon from me. I am very saddened to hear this news. May he Rest In Peace.
