Matthew Bryan Powell worked for Laclede Gas for 18 years. He was an avid reader, loved music and told great stories. He had a great sense of humor and often told the people he loved just that accompanied by a hardy hug.
Matt is survived by his son Morgan Powell and Morgan’s mother Debbie Schrum. Matt was the loving son of Virginia Powell and the late Laudie Powell. Matthew was the beloved brother of Timothy Powell and his wife Consuelo Powell, his sister Letha Brock and her husband David, and his sister Trena Powell. Matt was the loving uncle of Laudie Powell and his wife Kelly and their children, Andres Powell, Monica Harbin and her husband Aaron and their children, Hillary Powell and her children, Chance Wrinkle, Jacob Powell and his children. He was also a nephew, cousin and friend to many.
Matthew will be missed by many. Keep him in your hearts and prayers.
Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois 63123 on Wednesday May 31 from 3-9 pm. with funeral service on Thursday June 1 at 11:30 am. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
