Beloved husband of the late Mary Jane Ortyl (nee Prass); loving father of Greg J. (Becky) Ortyl and Shani (Jamison) Wahl; dearest grandfather of Isla, Harper, Chlover, Esme, Olive, Henry and the late Oakes; dear brother of Kevin (Patti) Ortyl, Lisa (Joe) Donato and the late Kathy Ortyl; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTONCHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, Thursday, May 26, 9:45 a.m. to St. Francis of Assisi for 10:30 a.m. Mass. Interment at J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Mighty Oakes Heart Foundation www.mightyoakes.org appreciated. Visitation Wednesday, 4-7 p.m.

  1. Greg will be greatly missed. What I remember most was his wonderful sense of humor. It was great to see how much he cared for and loved his family, especially the grandchildren, even after he got sick he loved hanging out with the kids!!!
    A donation to the Mighty Oakes Foundation was made in his name from the Schmidt Family and the Kuhn Family
