In Loving Memory

O’Brien, Ashley

Ashley O’Brien (October 1989 – December 2017) a lifelong resident of St. Louis and 2009 Oakville High School graduate. Following a courageous 4 ½ year battle with Leukemia, a beautiful young woman full of life has passed away. During her short time here, she touched so many lives. Everyone that met her was inspired by her strength, kindness and positive outlook. Her smile and enthusiasm warmed everyone’s heart. She always saw the best in people. The smallest things brought her joy.  Her thoughtfulness, generosity and tremendous love for her family will be remembered forever.

She is survived by her loving parents, John and Cindy O’Brien; siblings, John “Jake”, Madison & Sydney; maternal grandparent, Lloyd Baker; paternal grandparents, Carol and Bill Coleman and the late William O’Brien; uncles, Charles Baker, his children Chris and Kevin; Eric Baker, his children Lauren & Erica; aunt, Shannon Bruch and her children Lindsey and Joseph; close friends and dog “Baxter”.

Ashley loved shopping, going out to eat, watching movies, listening to music, Blues hockey and being with her family. Working, volunteering, participating at TASK and helping people was a source of pride.

Special thanks to all of the doctors, pharmacists, nurses and techs that worked so diligently to extend her time and make her comfortable. Each and every one made a difference in her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at https://donate.lls.org/lls/donate or TASK (Team Activities for Special Kids) at http://www.tasksports.org/Donate/Make.a.donation/index.html.
