Don spent 40 plus years working for Missouri Pacific Railroad and later Union Pacific Railroad. He had many incredible friendships, stories, and memories from his career.   In retirement he developed a passion for golf, playing year round several times a week.

His family and his relationship with each of them will remain his lasting legacy.   He had five children Teri (Paul) Hillyard, Donna (Gary) Seymour, Craig (Sandy) Mulcahy, Linda (Don) Wichern, and Vicki (John) Howe, in addition to 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A wonderful and engaging person, he had many lifelong friends and was appreciated for his ability to connect personally with people through his stories, humor, and laughter.  He will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 13, 2020 at Kutis Funeral Home on Lemay Ferry Road from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.  His life will be celebrated in a service beginning at 10:00 am at Faith Lutheran Church 6101 Telegraph Road, Saint Louis, Missouri 63129.  Those who wish to honor Don’s memory may do so through a donation to the American Kidney Foundation.  Don and Martha were also founding members of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Lake Ozark, Missouri.
