Iola-Miller

In Loving Memory

Miller, Iola Mae

Iola M. Miller, aged 94, died peacefully on 3/1/18 at home of natural causes. Iola was born in St. Louis, Missouri on 7/31/23. Iola married John R. Miller on 11/8/1942, the love of her life. Together they raised five children and now have eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Iola worked for St. Luke’s Hospital for more than 40 years through which she made many close friends and remained an active “member” with a group of ladies who named themselves “the dirty dozen”. Iola enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading, bird watching, the outdoors and was an avid sports fan. Iola will be dearly missed as she was loved by many.

Beloved wife of the late John R. Miller.  Dear mother of Mary Ann (the late Ralph) Murphy, Betty Jean (Paul) Rutkowski, John (Marcia) Miller, Bridget (Chris) Lasater and Jennifer (Jim) Lowry.  Dear grandmother of Chip, Matthew, Doug, Amy, Andy, Laura, Ben and Julie. Dear great-grandmother of Chance, Collin, Lydia, Jack, Kate, Liam, Zeke, Colin and Riley.

Visitation at the Basillica of St. Louis (Old Cathedral) on Monday, March 5 from 9am til funeral Mass at 10am. Interment Calvary Cemetery.  Contributions to Stray Rescue of St. Louis, appreciated.
