In Loving Memory

Miller, General James (Jim)

Miller, General James (Jim) joined his Lord and Savior on May 11th, 2021. He passed away at his home in Imperial MO surrounded by loving family. He will be dearly missed by his 6 children: Kevin (Kathy) Miller of High Ridge, MO, Jeff (Mary) Miller of Dickinson, TX, Jerry (Lynn) Miller of Branson, MO, John Miller of St Louis, MO, Joe (Pat) Miller of Imperial, MO, Janie (Joe) McBride of Lebanon MO; 15 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren with 2 more on the way; Brother in Law Larry (Adrienne) Stone of St Louis, MO and Joe (Mary Ann) Stone of St. Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years, Peggy Maurine Miller (nee Stone). and his brothers Delbert Miller of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Harold Miller of St. Louis, MO. Mom passed a year ago, and Dad has mourned her this whole time. We believe they are back together, and we are blessed by that understanding of God’s mercy.

Jim was born in Rector, AR on March 30, 1932. He was employed as a claim superintendent for the Missouri Pacific, A & S, and Union Pacific Railroads, retiring after a career of 35+ years. Jim enjoyed meeting people and watching sports, particularly when his grandchildren played during their high school years. Jim served on the Mehlville School Board during the 1980’s and was active in coaching and refereeing sports when his children were young. He will be remembered by all for his gregarious personality.

Services: Visitation will be held at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, Friday, May 14, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Interment at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart immediately following. Due to Covid restrictions, visitation is limited to family members only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Open Door Animal Sanctuary in House Springs, MO.
