In Loving Memory

Sallee, Meredith K. Flesner

Meredith Kathryn Flesner Sallee

41, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Christopher Michael Sallee was full of joy, love and laughter condensed into a bright light. A light which was extinguished much too soon on Thursday, January 7, 2021.

If we had to use one word to describe Meredith Flesner Sallee it would be teacher; not only to the thousands of grade school students whose lives she helped shape, but to her friends and family who she taught how to truly live life. As a woman who loved to travel she was teacher at Chesterfield Elementary in Missouri, the Potomac School in Virginia and most recently at Porter Gaud in Charleston, South Carolina. Meredith celebrated every day with a huge smile, enthusiastic greeting, songs sung loud, and costumes for any and every occasion. She taught us how to be kind, optimistic and to maximize every moment in life. Her amazing spirit, laughter and contagious smile would light up any room and will be forever missed.

Meredith is survived by her husband Christopher; son, Austin Sallee, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her parents, Marilynn and Steve Koontz of St. Louis, MO and Stephen and Rosalind Flesner of Derry, NH; sister, Kathryn Kurtz (David) of St. Louis, MO; three brothers: S. Neal Flesner (Carmen Tebbe) of Los Angeles, CA, Ryan Flesner (Molly) of Atlanta, GA and Robert Koontz (Morgan) of Sacramento, CA; and in-laws, Steve and Dianne Sallee of Lebanon, MO.

PRIVATE BURIAL at Sunset Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

In lieu of flowers, a gofundme.com page has been established for Austin’s education (https://gofund.me/649fcc2a). Please search for Rainbows and Unicorns for Meredith, Chris and Austin.
