McGrory, Marc Joseph Sr.

 

Passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Loving brother of Mary (Tom) Gardner, Theresa (Bruce) Mueller, Michael (Elaine) McGrory, Maureen (Rodney) Huelsman, Matthew (Debbie) McGrory, Mick (Kim) McGrory, Melissa (Tracy) Comer, Martha (David) Barrientes.  Beloved father of Marc McGrory Jr.(Movina), and Stephanie Cooper, dear grandfather of Zahra McGrory and Gabriel Bartley; loving companion of Christine Musick; dearest step-father of Matt Musick(Hope); dear brother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend to many.  Marc McGrory Sr attended Seven Holy Founders Grade School and Affton High School before joining the United States Army where he served for 7 years.  He enjoyed all sports, exceling in basketball and soccer, and still holds the Meramec Christmas High School Basketball Tournament record for most rebounds in a game which has stood for over 40 years.  We will all remember him for his kind heart, commitment to family, and willingness to always go out of his way for others.  He was a dog lover, an average dog babysitter, while using Mr Yuk stickers appropriately where needed.  Marc donated a lot of his time for charities and after his passing made a donation of his skin for burn victims.  He joins both of his late parents, Cornelius and Ruth Ann McGrory in the kingdom of heaven.

Memorial Visitation Tuesday, January 12, 4:00 p.m. until Memorial Service 7:00 p.m. at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd. There will be full Military Honors.  Private Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
