Passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020.

Beloved husband of 37 years to Gloria McFarland (nee Lockhart); loving father of Michelle (Ron) Stewart, Steven D. (Lyn) McFarland, Sarah (Beau) Gubany, Dan (Anna) McFarland; dearest grandfather of Rodney; former spouse of Vickie McFarland; caring dad of Rudy the Dachshund; dear uncle, nephew cousin and friend to many.

Steven was an avid bee keeper. He loved his cacti ever since working at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. He was active for 11 years in the Boy Scouts.

SERVICES: Funeral at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd., Monday, October 12, 11:00 AM. Interment St. Paul Churchyard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Missouri Botanical Gardens or Gateway for Paws. Visitation Sunday 2 -5 :00 PM.

  1. So sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. I remember going to his shop with my dad, Ed Weilbacher. Steve always had great stories and enjoyed the occasional baked treat! He was such a skilled woodworker; a talent that will be missed. Your family is in my thoughts during this difficult time.

  3. I am so sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. He was a very great guy! We spent time in the Scouts together. A man of impressive talent in wood working. I’m happy to have known him. Steve will certainly be missed.
