McAnnar, Sharon Marie (nee Richter)

Born to parents Charles “Bud” Richter and Betty Jean Richter on February 11, 1954 in St. Louis. Sharon passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the age of 66. Sharon met her former spouse, Richard McAnnar as high school sweethearts, graduating Southwest High School and marrying in 1972. Preceded in death by her father and brother Mike she is survived by her brother Terry, sister Chris (Gary) Horning and her mother. Sharon spent her years in an undaunting commitment of motherhood to her daughters Kathleen (Brad) Anderson, Darlene (Walker) Veal and Leslie (Jeremy) McClendon. She was “Grandma” to Peyton and Braxton Anderson, Sara Bagshaw, Montayna and Dakota Tope and Matthew McClendon. Sharon was a loving  life partner to Kevin O’Connell. Beloved aunt, cousin, niece and the type of true friend few have known. She enjoyed sewing and crafting. No job was too big or too small for her to take on. There was always someone else that came ahead of her.

SERVICES:  Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road on Tuesday, January 19, 10:30am until time of funeral at 12:30pm. Interment St. Trinity Cemetery.   5. Oh we are so sorry to hear of your Moms sudden death. She was our neighbor for many years. She loved sewing and crafting beautiful things. Sharon was very active with the three girls and was constantly running to ball games and other activities. Love and peace to all.

  7. So sorry to learn of Sharon’s sudden passing. Many thanks to her as a hard working neighbor who served on the Board of Trustees for our complex. She will be truly missed. May the Angels lead her into Paradise. May God Bless all who loved her and give them strength in the days ahead. ❤️
