Maniscalco-1

In Loving Memory

Maniscalco, Peter Anthony

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, on Friday, October 1, 2021. Beloved husband of Doryle Maniscalco (nee Long); dear father of Peter (Bree) Maniscalco, and Bridgette (Terry) Geraghty; loving grandfather of Alyssa (Kyle), Sophie, Sabrina, Daisy, and his 3 step-granddaughters; dear brother of Frances (the late Joseph) Piazza; our dear uncle, cousin and friend.

Pete spent over 30 years delivering mail out of the Gravois postal branch where he made life long friends.

He also served as a proud member of the St. Louis Oddfellows Lodge Number 5 and the Local NALC Union Branch 343.

Always the entertainer, Pete   and Doryle loved throwing parties where he would often take requests playing the piano.  His talent, charm and ability to tell a good joke drew others to him.

Retired now for more than 20 years, he loved to travel with family and friends, continued to enjoy playing the piano, often writing his own music, and of course still loved hearing and telling a good joke.

Above all else, Pete loved spending time with his grandkids,  sharing stories, singing songs and giving advice through his various “Pop” quotes.

His smile and laughter were infectious and will remain in our hearts and songs forever.

“And in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make.”

Services: Memorial visitation will be held at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Friday, October 8, 4-8 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church on Saturday, October 9, 10 a.m. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery.

  3. I am sorry to learn of Pete’s passing. The Maniscalco family home was two doors to the east of the home where I grew up. Pete, other kids in the neighborhood and I would hang out at Buder School playground. I recall that Pete played the piano well. My sincere sympathy to his wife, Doryle, and all of his family and friends. Rest in peace, Pete.
