Maibes, Jerry W.

Jerry W. Maibes, beloved son, brother, best friend, uncle, cousin, and friend has passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Jerry was born on May 2, 1967, in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert and Doris Maibes. He was the youngest of two children. He is survived by his sister and best friend Debra Martin, three nieces Jessica Jordan, Acenna Dabbs, Heather Martin, great nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends.

Jerry loved life and KSHE95. He was a die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan as well the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues. Chances are if you saw him, he mentioned any one or all those teams. He was a simple man and lived his life to the fullest. He was truly satisfied with his rock and roll and his Bud light. He was a good friend and was always willing to listen. Jerry holds a special place in people’s hearts, and he will be deeply missed!

We will celebrate Jerry’s life at Kutis Funeral Home 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63129. Visitation will be Thursday, January 13, 2022, for family from 3-4pm. Regular visitation hours will be from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be at on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 10:00am with graveside services at Park Lawn Cemetery. Anyone that would like to join us is welcome.

Please join us for a celebration of life party at the Des Peres Yacht Club at 7832 Ivory Ave on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 2-7pm.

  1. I have known Jerry since we were 13 years old and he had a heart bigger than anyone I’ve ever met. He could drive you crazy at times lol,but he a unique way about him that didn’t allow you to stay mad at him for long. Even though we hadn’t seen each other face to face in several years, we always looked forward to our phone conversations which happened 2 or 3 times a week. He was my best friend, but more like a brother. My only regret is that I couldn’t get him closer to the Lord. I love you Jerry and will be truly missed. I am forever grateful for our time together and will cherish those memories always.
