Madel, Joan M. (nee Luttrell)

The family of Joan M. Madel is deeply saddened announce that Joan passed away peacefully into Jesus’ arms at Bethesda Dilworth Nursing Home on January 17, 2023, at the age of 89, after a long illness.

Joan M. Madel (nee Luttrell) was born on November 8, 1933.  Joan was happily married to the late Thomas A. Madel for 56 years.  She is survived by their children, Debra A. (nee Madel) (Alan) Stonum, Karen L. Howe (nee Madel) and Brian T. (Linda) Madel; grandchildren Kelly Purvines, Stuart Purvines, Katie Will (nee Stonum), Andrew Purvines, Amy Gibbons (nee Howe) Nicholas Madel, Mitchell (Rheanna) Madel and 13 great-grandchildren.

Joan was a loving and wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her.  She will be missed terribly.

There will be no funeral service, only a private memorial for immediate family.  They request no flowers, but donations if desired, can be made to The National Scleroderma Foundation.
