Sylvia J. Luker

On February 1, 2021, Sylvia Joan Luker left this world peacefully at age 83.  Beloved wife of her late husband Melvyn Luker. Together they had three children. She was predeceased by her loving daughter Karen.  Survived by daughter Lisa (Ed) and son Marty (Tammy); 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Melanie, Spencer, BreAnna, and Shayne.

Sylvia was born on December 9, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri to Alfred and Regina Drzewucki. She graduated from Incarnate Word Academy in 1956 and married Melvyn in 1957. Together they enjoyed site seeing and vacationing all over the world. After Melvyn’s passing in 1991, Sylvia spent most of her time outdoors. She had a love for gardening. Sylvia was always in the yard trimming, raking, and planting.  If Sylvia wasn’t outdoors, she was at the shopping malls. Shopping was her passion. Sylvia also had a love for all animals, especially all of her grand pups. Above all, faith and family was the most important to Sylvia.

Visitation will be Held at Kutis South County, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 4-8 PM

A service will be held at Kutis South County Chapel, Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 10 AM

Sylvia will be buried next to Melvyn at J. B. National Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society.

    Again I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. My heart breaks for you. I had every intention of attending tonight, however this will not happen. Please know all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
