Luehrman, Kenneth E.

Friday, December 26, 2020, from complications of a stroke. Cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. Ken was born on December 25, 1926, to Levi and Fannie Luehrmann in Oxly, Missouri. He served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II. In 1947 he married Ellen Kell, and they had two daughters, Frances and Deborah. Ken attended Washington University and spent his career with Wagner Electric, Division of Cooper Industries, retiring as manager of manufacturing. He lived his life with integrity, dignity, kindness, and unwavering devotion and love for his family.
His beloved wife Ellen and grandson Alex predeceased him, as did his sisters Maxine Shelton and Wanda Pfeiffer. He is survived by his daughters Frances Jenny and Deborah Klayman; sons-in-law Art Jenny and Michael Klayman; grandchildren Emily (John) Makarewicz, Andrew Jenny, and Molly (Grant) Vosse; great-grandchildren Ben Makarewicz, Robin Makarewicz, and Sloane Vosse; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services:  In accordance with his wishes, Ken will be cremated. There will be a memorial in the spring followed by interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions suggested to Greater Kansas City Community Foundation: Alex Jenny Memorial Charitable Fund (Jenn03), Broadway Blvd., #130, Kansas City, MO 64105. The mission of the fund is to provide grants and scholarships to organizations supporting young people in need.
